- Ensure data flows correctly across architectures, from raw ingestion to modeling-ready layers.
- Leverage expertise across multiple cloud environments to build robust data ecosystems, whether utilizing AWS (S3 and core cloud services), GCP (BigQuery and Google Cloud Storage), or Azure (Databricks).
- Use deep knowledge of Apache Airflow for scheduling, orchestrating, and monitoring workflows.
- Build software services and automate processes using strong Python development skills.
- Apply the correct methodologies (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault) to design Star Schemas, Semantic Models, and highly optimized platforms.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years as a data engineer with a track record of end-to-end delivery in fast-paced environments.
- Professional fluency in English, excellent collaboration skills between developers and leadership, and the ability to guide others.
- Solid understanding of engineering and architectural principles, and comfort collaborating on CI/CD workflows and using version control (Git).
- Hands-on experience working across AWS, GCP, or Azure, with exposure to Infrastructure as Code like Terraform.
- Deep experience with modern data platforms including Snowflake (optimization and performance), Databricks, and Spark.
- Deep expertise in Apache Airflow and familiarity with event-driven or streaming technologies like Kafka.
- Strong coding capabilities in Python, combined with advanced SQL skills for working with large-scale datasets.
- Highly proficient in dimensional modelling (Kimball) and building robust OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) systems.
